The Madras Hotels Association was formed during 1920 to represent the grievances of Hoteliers regarding supply of Water, Arbitrary and Exorbidant Licence fees and curtailment of food Grains etc. Mr. Sharma of Arya Bhavan and other leading Hoteliers formed this Association for the survival of Hotels & Restaurants to serve the public a wholesome food.
The Silver Jubilee of the Madras Hotels Association was celebrated on 15 and 16th of October 1970 at Abbotsbury Kalyana Mandapam, Chennai. |
